You had your first disney trip and loved it.
Your favorite rides were the triceratops spin (AK), magic carpets of Aladdin (MK), barnstormer (MK), toy story mania (HS), and buzz lightyear space ranger spin (mk), voyAge of the little mermaid (mk), mad hatter tea party (mk), alien swirling saucers (hs), and the seas with Nemo (Epcot). My favorite memory is of you riding the little mermaid ride and saying aloud, “I love you, Ariel.” You didn’t have any fear or bad reactions to things like pirates or haunted mansion.
You had moments where you had a ‘tude and refused to take pictures with characters and there were other moments were you loved interacting with them. The joys of being a three-nager. Your favorite characters were Stitch and the princesses namely Belle, Ariel and Anna. You loved showing your disney outfits to the characters, pointing and naming those who were on your shirt.
You had some other moments where you were butting heads with mom, such as on Kilimanjaro safari where you wanted to sit independently and put your arm out (despite this being against the rules and it being a very bumpy Jeep ride). When I refused to let you do these things. You said, “I don’t like you mommy.”
You enjoyed some of the water and light displays at Epcot as well as asking mom for coins to throw into water fountains (you asked for money repeatedly on it’s a small world) to make wishes.
Another little tidbit about this trip occurred as soon as we landed in the Orlando airport. We were waiting for the shuttle to take us to Polynesian. Mommy suggested it might be an opportune time to change your diaper. You screamed bloody murder, hitting and smacking mom and THEN biting mommy’s arm, leaving a huge bruise on my upper arm that was in several of our photos.
Side note-you stayed up late every night and also napped late like 2/3 in the afternoon everyday. You didn’t really ever fall asleep in the stroller and I’m not sure we afforded you the opportunity? We were usually heading back to our room around 1-2 and trying to keep you from falling asleep until we returned to our room. You sometimes fought with mom about napping, but eventually fell asleep.
You and mom and/or you and dad went to a lot of shows. Seeing beauty in the beast at HS was your favorite with mom. I think you also enjoyed the little mermaid show, which Mom thought was a solid “meh.” Dad took you to enchanted tales with belle, frozen ever after and the Disney Junior dance party as mid week mom had caught the flu. I think you were disappointed that you didn’t get to meet the beast as you asked where he was on more than one occasion.
You did well for your first haircut by sitting in the chair and playing with a little Elsa you they gave you. Afterward, you were so proud of how your hair was cut and styled with pigtails and sequin/glitter.
